Welcome to the Civil Aviation Enthusiasts website - with more than 2000 members this is home to of one of the largest groups of aviation enthusiasts on the internet. In all there are three mailing lists - the Main list permits members to exchange information on just about anything to do with civil aviation, the Forum allows you to vent your spleen about almost anything except aviation and the ACARS list concentrates on just that.

As with any other community this one also needs a certain degree of discipline and thus there are rules to be followed, very limited in number but the moderation team expects you to abide by them. So, please go to the FAQs page to check them out. As you will see in the FAQs we will not accept anonymity and thus we expect you to join the lists using your first and last names and to make your email address visible. However, it should be emphasised that your names will only be visible to the moderation team and not to the membership.

Since our move to our new server, we have allowed AOL addresses back onto the list. We are still experiencing a few problems with them but we are in contact with them to try to resolve them. Please bear with us if you use AOL as your ISP. You might wish to consider using a different ISP if this happens. We do have to do extra work when AOL (or any other ISP for that matter) bounce mails - again, please bear with us if you experience such problems. Further information to be found in the FAQs and Notices pages.

This site is permanently under construction but you can eventually expect to find all the facilities that were available at our previous location. Should you wish to subscribe to our main mailing list you can expect an average of around 100 messages per day to hit your mailbox! So be prepared!

To join the list send a blank mail to cae-subscribe@aviationlists.com . You will then receive a welcome message which will include a system-generated password. You can use this to access your own area and make amendments to your mail delivery, etc. and to change your password to something more memorable. You will also be able to access the mail archive - you might want to bookmark the page as the URL is not an easy one to key in! Please wait for your password to arrive before mailing us to ask how to change your settings to No Mail.
